Highmoor Parish Council has a vacancy for a Clerk, Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates, however, training will be offered and an enthusiasm to learn, will be seen as an alternative to formal qualifications.

The Clerk, Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer will be responsible for the administration of the business and finances of the Parish Council and experience of working in local government and/or Parish Councils, is preferable, but not essential.

The post includes some evening work and the successful applicant would be expected to have, or be prepared to obtain, the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA). He or she must be able to work on their own initiative, be proactive and computer literate, with good communication, administration and finance skills. Friendly and positive outlooks are essential.

Salary Scale: LC2, SCP 24 – 28, £33,024 – £36,648 pa. pro rata. (£17.16 – £19.05 per hour) based on experience, 6 hours per week.

Place of work: Work from home.
