Budget and Precept

The precept is that element of your council tax that is paid to the parish council.

Every year, the parish council draws up a budget and calculates how much money it needs for the next financial year. The budget figures are finalised at the January full council meeting and are then submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC). SODC then combines the parish council’s figures with demands from Oxfordshire County Council and Thames Valley Police to determine the overall amount of council tax to be paid from 1st April that year.
